
Lorraine is a respected career consultant, certified coach, and workshop facilitator and the founder of Life Design Consultants. For the past twenty years Lorraine has helped people at all lifestages to make their best career choices and to navigate through transitions.
Her approach helps people clarify and develop a strategy for achieving what really matters most to them - and to thrive through the process. Lorraine's impact has been described by clients as enlightening, practical and empowering. She works with individuals who seek her expertise directly or for organizations who engage her to assist with a specific situation.
Lorraine's experience informs what she brings to her work. She understands today's dynamic workplace and the reality of balancing personal and professional goals. Her early career included facilitating leadership and professional development programs and she managed organization development consultants at one of Canada's largest banks. She was an associate with an organizational psychologist and at a career transition firm.
After starting her family Lorraine did graduate education in Counselling Psychology, and the Workplace Learning and Change focus at the University of Toronto. Her doctoral research explored how mid-life professional women viewed and were reinventing the concept of retirement. Lorraine's coach training at The Hudson Institute of Santa Barbara focused on adult transitions and renewal.
Lorraine's interest in working with issues of aligning who you really are with what you decide to do in your career and life led her to write the book Mid-life Magic: Designing the next chapter of your life. Her focus on well-being, work-life balance and stress management prompted her to produce two stress management audio-programs - A Special Place, and Time Out!
She's a certified coach and member of the Association of Career Professionals International, National Career Development Association, and International Coach Federation.
